Who can see your wedding page: privacy and access
Only someone who has a personal link to your page can see it. No account is needed to respond, there are no ads aimed at guests, and guests never see the data of other guests.
Last checked on 16 September 2026How access works
Every household gets its own link to your page, not a shared link or a public URL that could be found at random. That link recognises the household automatically: the names are already filled in, no login needed. Questions a guest asks from the invitation hang on that link and are private: other guests never see them.
What guests do not have to do
No creating an account, no thinking up a password, no installing an app. A guest opens the link in the browser on their own phone and can respond straight away.
Who can get into your environment
Three roles can get into the environment of your wedding: you yourselves, your wedding planner and your master of ceremonies. Couple and planner have the same rights and see the same thing: guest list, RSVPs, dietary needs, the invitation. Who does what, you agree together.
The master of ceremonies has a smaller role of their own. They can read the guest list but not change the RSVPs, and manage the speeches, the announcements and the guests' questions. Everything marked "not for the couple" you do not see, not even when you log in. You do see that the module exists and who manages it. That way a surprise stays a surprise, without you thinking something is broken.
A planner only gets in if they created the wedding or if you invite them; they log in with a planner account of their own. A planner you invited, you can also take the access away from again. The master of ceremonies logs in through a link by email, without a password. Nobody else has access; guests only see the invitation through the link of their own household.
What you do and do not see of guests
You see per household whether the link has not been opened yet, opened but not answered, or answered with an RSVP. That overview is meant to see who still needs a reminder, not to follow individual behaviour any further. There are no tracking pixels from outside parties on the pages guests see.
What happens to data after the wedding
The guest list and responses are kept as long as the page is online: 24 months after the wedding day, also if you work through a wedding planner and the planner stops using Invitesly. See what happens to your page after the wedding for the full explanation of the memory page.
Want to stop earlier? Then you delete your account in the account settings. That removes everything at once: the invitation, the guest list, the responses, the photos and the guest book. A wedding planner cannot delete a wedding that has already been paid for; that page is yours.
Measuring on this website
On this website, so not on the pages guests see, we use Google Analytics to understand which explanations are read. That places cookies and only starts after you give consent in the notice at your first visit. Without consent we measure nothing. You can always change your choice via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising.
What Invitesly deliberately does not do
No reselling of guest data to third parties, no ads aimed at guests, and no shared login between couples. Your page is separate from every other wedding on the platform.
This piece describes how the product works, it is not a legal document. For the full legal framework around personal data we refer to our own privacy statement.
Frequently asked questions
Can a digital wedding invitation be found publicly through Google?
Not with Invitesly. Your page is not offered for indexing and can only be reached through the personal link every household gets from you. Whoever does not have the link cannot find or open the page.
Do guests have to log in to see the wedding page?
No. A guest opens the personal link and sees the page straight away, without a password, account or app. The link knows which household is looking, so the names are already filled in and the RSVP can be completed at once.
Can a guest see the details of other guests?
No. A personal link only gives access to the page itself and to that household's own response, never to the full guest list, anyone else's RSVP or dietary needs. Only you, your planner and the master of ceremonies see the guest list.
Who has access to our guest list?
Three roles: you as the couple, your wedding planner (with the same rights as you) and the master of ceremonies, who can read the list and RSVPs but not change them. Guests only see their own household. The planner logs in with a planner account of their own; the master of ceremonies through a link by email, without a password.
What if a guest has lost the link to the invitation?
Then the event code of your wedding plus their own email address remains a fallback, so the guest can still reach the page. Guests never have to remember a password or create an account.
What happens to guests' data with a digital wedding invitation?
That differs per provider; free platforms often earn money from your guests. Invitesly only uses what is needed to make the invitation work: it does not sell guest data, shows no ads to guests and places no tracking pixels from outside parties on their pages. The guest list and responses are kept as long as the page is online: 24 months after the wedding day.
